The door has a removable window with 8 glass lites (10 originally, 2 missing). There is a small, raised panel below the glass on both sides. The door was unevenly cut by 3/8". The cuts were most likely made to compensate for a warped floor or sagging foundation. Antique Solid Wood Storm Door w/10 Windows & 1 Panel
Rare, antique, storm door salvaged from an old home in Northeastern PA. The door is made of solid
Douglas fir or pine, and is painted black on both sides.
When most people hear “pine” they think of a cheap, weak, soft wood. New pine
hewn from 10 – 20 year old trees don’t have the same insect-resistant,
rot-resistant, or even fire-resistant qualities that old pine, hewn from trees
hundreds of years old have. Old pine is also much harder and stronger than young
    pine.
The door has a removable window with 8 glass lites (10 originally, 2 missing). There is a small, raised
panel below the glass on both sides.
